 Chief Executive Officer

Dale Folmar is a 35-year veteran of the golf industry with operational experience in both public course and private country club operations. Folmar knows golf. He has not only served as regional vice president, senior vice president of operations, and general manager for large portfolios of both public and private clubs, but has also advised the golfers themselves as a PGA, head golf professional.

Prior to founding Encore Leisure Group, Folmar served at the Chief Operating Officer and FVP for CBIGG Managment, where he oversaw all operations and directed the company's vision and culture. Folmar previously served as the Executive Vice President of operations for Eagle Golf in Dallas, Texas. He was responsible for directing the operations of 45 daily fee golf properties in 11 states with a combined $127 million in revenues and $38.5 million in net operating income. Folmar has also negotiated numerous third party and municipal lease and management agreements throughout the U.S.

Folmar is a strategic thinker with strong leadership ability and focuses on direct programming and developing an accountability culture within an organization to drive operational growth.

He attended Navarro College and the University of Houston’s Conrad Hilton College of Restaurant Management.

MR. JACQUES JAMES

Chief Financial Officer

Jacques James is an Associate Chartered Management Accountant (UK), and holds a Bachelors of Commerce Degree in Finance from the University of South Africa. Jacques has over 27 years of experience building and leading financial teams within the retail and leisure industries with significant operating scale and complexity. In South Africa, Jacques worked for Compass Group South Africa, in the Airports and Leisure division. During his 7 years at Compass Group, he advanced through a series of promotions including Regional Operations Manager, Financial Controller and General Manager of the Airports Division. In addition to performance management, he was also involved in several new business bids, joint venture arrangements and business process improvement projects. Jacques has led many strategic initiatives that have had positive impact on multiple business areas.

After leaving South Africa in 2008, Jacques joined one of the industry leaders in the United Kingdom golf industry, BGL Golf. In his 6 years with BGL, as the Commercial Management Accountant, he was involved with several business improvement projects, and involvement in the roll out of their highly successful Adventure Golf business. 

Since joining CBIGG Management in 2016, Jacques has been directly involved in developing and analyzing accounting information to present operating results in terms of profitability, performance and operating effectiveness of the organization. He is currently developing and implementing financial management policies and procedures, while maintaining the company’s compliance with all regulatory obligations through proficient oversight of internal and external audits. Jacques ensures the integrity of all financial information and systems while directing annual initiatives toward success.

MR. HAGEN CLEEK

Vice President Private Club - Operations

Hagen Cleek is a golf industry maverick and brings an unparalleled work ethic and fresh approach to how private golf clubs should be managed and operated. Hagen has more than 30 years of experience in the leisure & hospitality industry and has held senior positions at some of the largest and most respected golf course management companies in the country including LinksCorp and Eagle Golf (now Arcis), which during his tenure owned and operated 78 clubs and was the 5^th largest golf management company in the United States. Hagen spent 14 years at Eagle as the company’s Regional Director in North Texas and was also the General Manager of the Cowboys Golf Club in Grapevine, TX, which is the first and only NFL-themed golf course in the world. Hagen has been the General Manager of some of the most prestigious golf clubs, resort clubs, and private clubs in the United States and is currently the Vice President Private Clubs for Encore Leisure Group, where he oversees all aspects of the operations for the Private Clubs within the portfolio, including the golf course(s), tennis, wellness, kid’s club, food and beverage, private event and tournament sales, and membership programming.

He currently lives in San Antonio, TX with his wife Lyndsey and together they have 2 grown daughters in their twenties. Hagen enjoys golf, fishing and spending time with his family when not working.

Vice President of Sales & Golf Operations

Anthony Re is a graduate of the Professional Golf Management Program with a BA in Marketing/ Management from Ferris State University.

Experience from prior companies: Dominion Golf Group 10 years as VP of Operation, Club Corp 17 years and Hershey Resorts 3 years serving various roles in the private, public and resorts operations managing golf, sales, membership, catering, tennis and additional management roles has created the vision of continuously being adaptable to current market trends.

Since joining CBIGG in 2015 on the involvement of restructuring our operating model and building our sales teams on being better and more efficient while taking a teamwork approach of “empowering your people” has created many efficiencies and new opportunities for individual club’s and overall company success.

Larry Almaraz joined the Executive team of CBIGG Management in May 2018. Almaraz began working in the Private Club industry in 1993 for Club Corp at such clubs as Falcon Point and Westwood just to name a few. He then joined the team at Sweetwater Country Club in July 2000 as the Chief Engineer. In his 18 years at this flagship property, he became adept in process improvements, operations, streamlining and cost control. His on the job experience has afforded him a well-rounded skill set including first-rate planning and project management which made him an ideal addition to the CBIGG corporate team.

Almaraz is enjoying his new role with CBIGG Mgmt. He enjoys getting to work at all locations and the opportunity to see different sides of the industry. He takes a hands-on approach to management and is ready to help when needed. He’s always believed that you shouldn’t ask anyone to do something that you would not do yourself.
